Shipping & Returns

First off, a big thank you for vising our site.  We appreciate your interest in Scrapbooking Made Simple and what our small Mom and Pop Shop has to offer.

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

We currently ship exclusively via USPS.  USPS is currently restricting shipments to several countries including Australia and New Zealand.  At this time, we are unable to ship these orders.  If you package needs to ship to a restricted country, thank you so much for your order, but we have no clear time frame when USPS will resend these restrictions.  We do not offer UPS or FedEx as alternate shipping options.

Shipping charges are based on the merchandise total (excluding Gift Certificates) according to the following:

US Domestic Rates

All orders $50.00 and over ship FREE in the US with the exception of any Die Cutting, Foiling, Embossing Machines & 5" and 6" Simply Defined Tape.  Please see of each these items for the shipping rate as each product may have a different shipping charge based on weight and size.

We do not ship any Machines to customers outside of the US due to the high cost of shipping unless you are on a US Territory or US Military Base.

International Rates

We generally ship International Orders via USPS Flat Rate Envelopes.  We will fit as much as possible but it may be necessary to ship your items in a box.  If this is the case, shipping is determined by weight and size of the package and can range from $34.95 on up.  We can use a flat rate box as well.  The advantage of the flat rate box is that we can ship many more items as the price is not based on weight.  If you are looking to purchase many Sizzix dies (excluding the XL Cutting Plates) this is a great option for you.

International orders will ship complete.  This means that it may take longer to ship than the 30 days if a product is out of stock and back ordered by a manufacturer.  We have no control over products back ordered by a manufacturer however, we will ship just as soon as the product arrives.

Please note, if at all possible, your shipping rate WILL BE ADJUSTED to a lower rate and you will be refunded the difference prior to your order being shipped. The current International Shipping rates calculated by our software are incorrect and most often higher than the actual rate you will be charged.  Your invoice will NOT reflect the lower rate however, you will receive an email confirming a refund to yur account if the rate can be lowered.

In addition, the International Shipping Rate charged may not cover the cost of shipping the items to you. Scrapbooking Made Simple reserves the right to contact you should the shipping charged not be enough to cover the cost of the shipping charged to us by USPS.  At this time, you will have the option of paying the additional shipping fees or cancelling your order.  We have done our very best to insure that the rates charged will cover all costs but we appreciate your understanding if your order is the exception.

Scrapbooking Made Simple is not responsible for Customs, Value Added Tax, or any duty or tax added once the package arrives to your country. We will not put any other value on your package other than the actual value of the merchandise.

Shipping Time Estimates & Information

During the following sales at SMS, the shipping time frame is "It ships when it ships". This may mean a month or many, many months depending on the total amount of orders received during these sales.  These sales are: National Scrapbooking Day, The Shop That Did Not Hop Sale, the Sizzix Warehouse Sale, SMS Anniversary Sale, Black Friday-Saturday Sale and the Spellbinders Warehouse Sale.  Our Flash Sales are also included in this policy.  


For Non-SALE Orders:

It is our goal to have all non-sale orders shipped within 30 days.  We are currently experiencing an unexpected large volume of orders and it is likely that your order will take longer than the 30 days. We thank you in advance for your understanding. 

We ship from California via USPS, FedEx or UPS.  If you have a question about shipping time, please contact us prior to placing your order and we will be happy to answer all of your questions.  If you make your purchase, we are assuming that you agree to our shipping time frame.  

In an effort to insure your package reaches you, we do ship with delivery confirmation numbers for USPS. 

We at Scrapbooking Made Simple will do our very best to make sure that your package arrives safe and sound to you.  But we understand that orders can get lost, misplaced, stolen or damaged. Once your order ships from our store, it is in the hands of the carrier, but should your package go missing or is not received in good condition, we will do all we can to help in this situation.

Returns Policy

For Non-SALE Orders, we understand that something you have ordered may not be exactly what you were hoping for or thought it was.  No worries at all, you may return new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund much more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
