Couture Creations GoPress & Foil Machine

The GoPress and Foil machine is a fully patented concept for Letterpress, hotfoil, diecutting and embossing that can be used with most popular diecutting machines on the market today in order to add the perfect finish on invitations, cards and craft projects. Place a hotfoil plate on the heating platform of the GoPress & Foil machine and let it warm up for 30 seconds or more. Place a piece of foil (colored side down and precut to the size of the plate) on top of the plate. Cover with card or project piece to be foiled. Close lid, remove platform from heating unit and run slowly through a die-cutting machine. Open lid and take out project. Peel off extra foil to reveal design. A hotfoil plate can also be used to emboss the design into cardstock using the GoPress & Foil Machine unheated. Open the cover, place plate on platform, cover with cardstock and run through a die-cutting machine. Open the cover, take out the project and reveal the design embossed in the cardstock.

Versatile Machine for Many Crafting Applications

Posted by Pippit Carlington on 3rd Apr 2019

Got a perfect transfer/impression on the second try with a sentiment plate! This was much easier than I expected. The trick is to make sure you let it heat for a full minute and tape everything in place so it doesn't move!

The only problem I ran into was when I used a smoother cardstock and a larger foil plate with branch design the light never turned green and after about 2 minutes I deduced it wasn't going to, so not wanting to overheat it I rolled it through my Bigshot and I got some areas fully foiled whereas others just got outline and speckling of foil. I'm not sure if this was due to the machine not heating evenly on such a large piece or if it was the smoother cardstock that was the problem. I'm currently trouble-shooting this and asking a few people with more experience.

I've watched Stacey's videos and a bunch of others and have discovered this process can be used on multiple surfaces as long as they're flat; wood, chipboard, fabric, vellum, plastic, leather, etc.

You can use it on the back side of any wafer thin frame die, embossing folders, and also stencils.

Looking forward to getting one of those metal shims and foil and cut plates and trying that out too!

This is going to give me lots of new options for things I can make to sell in my Etsy shop and hopefully it will increase my sales! Thanks for offering such a useful product and at a fantastic sale price!

I am having trouble getting a perfect copy

Posted by Joyce Mirowski on 29th Aug 2017

I have gone through a roll of gold foil and can't say there are many good results. I have watched every video on YouTtube that I could find still not so great results. I have not given up just rested for a while reviewed the instructions again. They are not so complicated but my results are not what I love. I did find my errors and could correct them. My shims were too thick, timing was too long 30 seconds is enough time. Also when I used a regular die the impressions cut through, I do not know that a metal shim came with my package. All in all I have not enjoyed good results. This review dosn't have to be made public. I really wanted to express my feelings because The idea sounded so great, the cost was expensive and the results were not satisfying. I love SMS even though I live in Missouri and only connection on Saturdays . Scrapbooking is fun for me and so many others I think I will order more gold and keep up trying to make pretty things.
